Millionen Menschen haben seit dem letzten Jahrtausend `Winzigweich Fenster` (Microsoft Windows) auf ihrem PC installiert - aber wie viele von ihnen haben jemals ein einziges Fenster (Window) auf dem Bildschirm zu sehen bekommen?
Keiner hat je die Zahl derer ermittelt, die (gerade in der heißen Jahreszeit) in den Büros schwitzen - nur weil ein hilfreiches Tool anzeigt: `Bitte alle Fenster schließen, bevor Sie mit der Installation beginnen`. Wer denkt jemals an all diejenigen, die über Kabel stolpern und sich schwer verletzen, auf dem Weg zum Fenster?
Doch dies wird sich ab sofort total ändern. Millionen können aufatmen und die Bürofenster wieder öffnen, denn jetzt gibt es erstmals `Fenster für Windows!`. Dieses wundervolle Programm schafft endlich das, was `Winzigweich Fenster` immer nur versprach: Jetzt kommen die Fenster auf den Bildschirm!
DTgrafic, Entwickler dieses sensationellen Programms, ließ Hunderte von Gebäuden errichten, um sie dann langsam verfallen zu lassen und fotografierte die Fenster. Aus diesen einmaligen und teilweise erschütterten Fotos wurde in mühevoller Kleinarbeit ein Monatskalender zusammengestellt. Durch eine ebenso simple wie geniale Programmierung ist es sogar gelungen, den aktuellen Tag in einem übersichtlichen Kalendarium anzuzeigen.
`Fenster für Windows!` läuft auf allen Fenster-Rechnern (Windows-PCs) ab Windows 95. Nach der Installation (die auch bei geöffneten Fenstern erfolgen kann), wird die Kalender-Software so eingerichtet, dass sie automatisch startet, jedes Mal wenn Windows hochfährt. So erscheint jeden Monat das neue Kalendermotiv automatisch. Das Programm selbst verschwindet unauffällig im Systemtray und kann per Mausklick aktiviert werden, um zum Beispiel die Schrift-Einstellungen des Kalendariums zu ändern.
Zusätzlich gibt es einen Bildschirmschoner, der weitere Motive anzeigt - auf Wunsch auch mit Monatskalender.
Die Vollversion kostet schlappe 14,00 Euro. Wenn man den Aufwand für die Herstellung dieses Desktop-Kalenders bedenkt, ein geradezu lächerlicher Preis und muss man sich fragen, wie die Leute von DTgrafic damit auf ihre Kosten kommen wollen.
