Email server is normally put in front of the corporate firewall. If it is behind the corporate firewall, it is not protected the firewall because the firewall is normally configured to let the network traffic to go the Email server directly.
MSGuard is a host based firewall. It runs on the same computer as the email server runs on. It protects the email server computer itself and makes sure only the necessary programs that can run on this computer. By doing so, it effectively prevents the Trojan from running on that computer. |
