PhotoArtifex ist eine 24Bit Mal-/Bildbearbeitungssoftware.
Es unterstützt die gängigsten Bildformate, sowie TWAIN-kompatible Scanner und Digitalkameras. Es sind zahlreiche, konfigurierbare Effekte/Filter enthalten. PhotoArtifex bietet eine flexible Malebene, die das Originalbild zunächst vor Änderungen schützt. Alle Effekte lassen sich auch mit einem der vielen vorgegebenen oder einem selbst definierten Pinsel auftragen und wieder entfernen!
Unter anderem enthalten: Farbmanipulation ( Gamma-Korrektur, Helligkeit/Kontrast, HSB/RGB-Korrektur, Tonkurve, Poster,.. ), Schärfen, Unscharfmaske, Gaußscher Weichzeichner, Rauschen, Median, Maximum, Minimum, Wirbel, Delle/Beule, Wellen, Relief, Bumpmap, `rote Augen entfernen` und viele andere. Bilder können skaliert, gespiegelt, gedreht und beschnitten werden. Es stehen vier verschiedene Maskierungsarten zur Verfügung und es können frei verschieb- und verformbare Objekte erzeugt werden.
