SGREP, SIR are command-line utility programs that allow you to search for strings in source code and other text files, and make mass changes back to these files after an intervention step.
The search and replace function is done in one Sgrep file using a text editor, as opposed to a large number of source files.
Sgrep by itself can also be used simply as a text search utility. Files can be searched either using the command line search specification or a list of search strings. The output is formatted, and can be redirected to a disk file and processed by Sir as a script when performing replace operations. |
