Der SQLArtist ist ein einfach zu bedienendes und sehr leistungsstarkes Datenbank-Aministrationswerkzeug. Neben der leistungsstarken Funktionalität ist bei diesem Tool eine Bedienungsfreundlichkeit eines der Hauptkriterien.

Datenbank-Versionsverwaltung
Das Erstellen von SQL-Skripts, mit der Möglichkeit die Skripts einzeln oder in Listen abzulegen gewährleistet, dass die Skripts ebenfalls auf anderen Datenbanken wieder ausgeführt werden können, ohne das ganze Skript neu erfassen zu müssen.
Die angelegten Datenbank-Aktualisierungslisten können nun auf der Kundendatenbank in einem sicheren Modus ausgeführt werden. Der Versions-Verwalter hält fest, welche Querys ausgeführt wurden, bzw. auf welchem Versionsstand sich die Datenbank befindet. Der Ausführungsmodus garantiert, dass die Änderungen fehlerfrei durchgeführt werden. Im Fehlerfall kann so der ursprüngliche Zustand wieder hergestellt werden.
Die aktuelle Version unterstützt die Datenbank-Server Microsoft SQLServer 2000 und Sybase SQLAnywhere ab der Version 7.0. SQLArtist baut auf dem ADO-Interface auf.
