DVD rippers, AVI joiners, AVI splitters, video capturing programs and more... We've reviewed a lot of these already. Why are they so popular among users? It's easy to guess. Professional video conversion and editing applications are all packed with advanced features and options. But, there are two problems with them. They are very complex and hard to learn and they cost thousands of dollars. Small software companies release simplified tools that cover some of the most popular video editing and processing features. Such tools typically cost $15-$20 and you can use them out-of-the-box without much training. Developers from ProtectedSoft have gone a step further. Their $30 utility, VideoConstructor, offers all the popular features at once. In fact, it consists of several different video processing applications gathered in the same clean and easy-to-use UI shell. The video capturing utility allows you to capture a video stream from various devices, such as a mini-DV camera, TV-tuner, webcam, etc. The DVD-Rip utility helps you convert your DVD video disks into AVI (DIVX, MPEG4, etc. encoded files). The Video Convertor module converts video files between virtually any known video formats (AVI, MPEG, MOV, WMV) with various encoding options. It also allows you to quickly join several video files or extract certain parts of a video file. The Slideshow maker module is intended to create sideshows from your digital photo images. You select JPEG images and the program renders a video file that can be written onto a DVD disk and played on any DVD player. This handy tool allows you to easily supply your friends and relatives with your photo collections. They can watch your photos right on their own TVs. VideoConstructor is the best option for your video processing needs. It contains everything a typical video amateur may need. A comprehensible interface make your work a joy.
