Visual Basic and Databases is a tutorial introduction to using Visual Basic for database access and maintenance.
The tutorial is a combination of over 700 pages of course notes and actual Visual Basic examples. It presumes no previous experience with databases, but users should be familiar with the Visual Basic environment and the steps involved in building a Visual Basic application.
Covered topics include database structure and design, Visual Basic project building, the DAO (Data Access Object) data control, data bound controls, interface design, SQL (Structured Query Language), and database reports. For Visual Basic 6 users, additional coverage is provided on the ADO (ActiveX Data Object) data control and data environment, ADO data bound controls, and the data report object. |
